The Market focuses on talented local and regional designers and craftspeople who each week bring their unique handcrafted wares to showcase at the Market.

Not your average market, each week you will find over 200 stalls of exceptional quality, featuring items all handcrafted by local and regional people. Gorgeous, stylish designs, the latest trends in clothing and accessories – it’s all at the Old Bus Depot Markets.

Located in the exciting and up-and-coming redevelopment area, the Kingston Foreshore, this beautiful market is set amongst some of Canberra’s most spectacular scenery. The city meets the lake aside Wentworth Avenue where the Old Bus Depot is located. An historical Canberra icon, this building dates back to early Canberra, when it was originally used as a transport hub.

Touch, taste, smell, feel and listen, the Old Bus Depot Markets is a truly sensory experience. Let the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greet you as you enter, then as you peruse the stalls enjoy the scents of spice and sweets. The warm smell of freshly baked bread drifts through the air as you explore the gourmet food hall of the Market. Pick up a snack, a bite to eat or a hot meal, eat in or take it home. In addition to the various Theme Events that run throughout the year, we also have a schedule of themed Sunday’s to bring even more specialist stallholders to the markets.
