We hope you all enjoyed that wonderful and vibrant performance by TraXion Big Band. We were fortunate to have them at the Markets for Jewel of Canberra which, this year, happened to fall on Remembrance Day.  They truly did a great job for the commemorations followed by some big band music to liven things up.

While we’re on the last month of the year, don’t think we’re out of great performances just yet. On the contrary. In case you haven’t heard, Santa’s in town and he’s brought Ernest the Elf. Only for the Christmas Season, Ernest visits the markets and will entertain the kids once again in the opening Saturday and Sunday respectively on the 1st and 2nd December for Christmas Kids. More great performances are in store as we await Guyy and the Fox, Jumptown Swing, and more to give us a merry good old time at Canberra’s Sunday Best.

Ernest the Elf

Ernest is a beloved character at the Christmas Markets and he makes sure everyone has a jolly good time. Hilarity will surely ensue when he brings his holiday-themed show to the Markets for Christmas Kids. Guyy and the Fox

Guyy and the Fox continue to rock and we’re excited to have them back on for two dates this holiday season. The duo recently performed at the Blues & Roots Music Festival in Bendigo, and will be joining the lineup for the National Folk Festival 2019. Jumptown Swing

Jumptown will swing by the Markets for Christmas Kids for a fun outdoor show. The group recently started their 4-week lindy hop swing dancing block after doing over 20 this year. You can learn to dance the swingin’ jazz music of the 1920’s, 30’s, and the 40’s. Find out more on their website www.jumptown.org
