Next time you’re at the markets make a stop to see artworks by Jeff Steinacker. His bright, vibrant and decorative acrylic paintings, linocuts and laser prints featuring animals, fish, scenery and flora will offer a sense of fun to any wall in any home. Born in South Carolina, Jeff has lived in Belconnen since 1996. As a Graphic Designer he formerly owned Mean Fish Design at which time he was often at our markets or at The Rocks Markets in Sydney. Three children later, he is re-prioritising and works a regular nine to five job. But once an artist always an artist, and his passion is still going strong.

So, after a four year break from our markets, he is back. Jeff’s works are constantly evolving. He started out creating works with pastels, then moved on to acrylic painting, and these days linocuts are new for him. He creates his linocuts with a variety of watercolours on paper with block ink on top creating a stunning silhouette effect. Jeff will be at the markets once a month, with a view to attending every week in November and December. He has a selection of acrylic paintings and linocuts available, and laser prints make a good, affordable option.
