Pearls. Those small, hard, lustrous balls of beauty. Formed within the shell of a pearl oyster and a gem highly prized by many.

Karen Kowald is well up on the pearl. Her business, Moondrop Pearls, has been at the markets since 1997 with a range of genuine, freshwater pearls in every shape and size. Karen makes and sells genuine cultured pearls on the lower level of the markets every Sunday. Visitors love them for their originality as Karen puts her own twist on her pieces using a mix of colours, shapes and sizes, as well as semi-precious gem stones.
