Leading up to our A Celebration of Wool event, it is only fitting that we feature one of our favourite fine wool and textile artists, Anne Willsford.

Anne is an independent Canberra textile designer who launched FibreStudio Design in November 2009. After many years involved with creating textiles in her spare time, and driven by her passion for creativity and design, Anne produces a unique range of wool textiles for the body and the home, all woven and felted by hand in her studio. Contemporary hand weaving, felting and other textile production methods are combined with the use of fine Australian merino wool and other sustainable natural fibres. In Anne’ felt products she especially likes using natural fibres such as silk, mohair, flax, alpaca and bamboo, combined with fine Australian merino wool fleece. A limited and constantly evolving range of innovative FibreStudio Design wool scarves, wraps and home wares showcase an inspired use of design, colour and innovation.
