Animal Aid Abroad (AAA) will do gift wrapping from the 2nd December until the 23rd December. It will be a gold coin donation to support their cause of helping working animals abroad. This makes it an even better time to shop for presents at the Old Bus Depot Markets during our Christmas Market Weekends and it also presents the perfect opportunity to learn about the wonderful work that AAA has been doing to help working animals. 

Gift wrapping schedule:

• Saturdays: 8th, 15th, and 22nd December
  • From 10:30am – 4pm
• Sundays: 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd
  • From 10:00am – 4:00pm

Animal Aid Abroad (AAA) is an international non-profit organisation and registered charity, founded by Janet Thomas in 2007 after living and working in Egypt. AAA run projects and initiatives in 12 different countries and have partnerships with around 18 animal welfare organisations and project partners globally. Together with local partners, they assist thousands of abused, sick, and injured working animals in very poor and difficult regions around the world.

AAA is dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys, mules, bullocks, camels, and other animals by providing free veterinary care to sick and injured working animals, rescue of abandoned and badly injured working animals, education of owners and communities to improve animal welfare and equip owners with the correct materials to reduce suffering and pain to their working animal. The core mission of Animal Aid Abroad is to relieve suffering, abuse and pain.

According to their website, AAA has partnered with the Nowzad Equine Clinic in Afghanistan, Animal Friends Jogja and Gili Eco-Trust in Indonesia, among several other organisations from many countries across the globe. They focus on funding, training, and assisting project partners to empower them to better support the animals in their respective communities.
